LUMBERTON – Primary Health Choice Day Support teams in Laurinburg, Lumberton and Sanford held the annual “Trunk O Treat” for clients on Oct. 31. Primary Health Choice staff decorated Halloween themed trunks as clients walked by each trunk and collected candy. Food was also served to all in attendance, as well as music and activities for clients. The Lumberton fire department also visited, where the Sparky mascot would surprise the clients, as they were able to meet and take photos with him. The Laurinburg Day Support team also wore T-shirts honoring Ronald McEachin after his recent passing, who was was a long-time employee at Primary Health Choice. McEachin was also a leader at the Laurinburg Day Support site. Both executive teams for Primary Health Choice and A Primary Choice released a statement on McEachin’s passing, saying “thank you for the many years of dedication to Primary Health Choice and A Primary Choice. The PHC and APC family mourns the loss of Mr. Ronnie, as his friendship, hard work, and presence will be dearly missed.”

Rosalind Atone, Regional director with Primary Health Choice, said that “on behalf of the NCIW department, we had a very successful Trunk o Treats at our Sanford Day Support site and Lumberton and Laurinburg sites.  Thank you to all who donated candy and participated in these events. The clients really enjoyed themselves.”

The PHC team will look to continue to advance services, events, and staff as we enter into the holiday season.
